Roasted Broccoli with Sweet Chili Sauce
Broccoli is not easy to love for most people. It has a very strong flavor and smell that can be off-putting.
But! If you find the right ingredients to pair it with, you’ve got yourself something insanely healthy and delicious.
Like this roasted broccoli that my boyfriend loves so much, he just eats it on its own sometimes.

Ingredients for Roasted Broccoli with Sweet Chili Sauce
- Fresh broccoli: frozen broccoli won’t work with this recipe!
- Sweet chili sauce: your favorite brand. Make sure the texture is sticky.
- Soy sauce: you can use gluten-free or standard.
- Oil: any neutral oil, preferably sesame oil.
- Black pepper: ground
How to make Roasted Broccoli with Sweet Chili Sauce
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 425 ℉ or 220 °C.
Step 2:
Cut 1 pound of broccoli up into smaller pieces (florets), then wash them.
Step 3:
Place the broccoli florets on a baking sheet evenly.
Step 4:
Mix the oil, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and black pepper in a small bowl, then add to the broccoli.
Step 5:
Carefully coat the broccoli florets with the sauce (with your hands).
Step 6:
Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until crisp and/or dark brown.
Remove the broccoli from the oven and add more sweet chili sauce if needed.
Serve immediately.
