Make these cute Vegan Flower Appetizers with Herb “Cream Cheese” for any occasion or party! Tasty, easy and healthy finger food. Kids will love it too!
Alright. How cute are these appetizers? I just want to make a hundred of them and eat it for dinner. They are pretty balanced too, if you think about it. Whole wheat baguette, vegan herb cream cheese and veggies. That’s all good. And tasty.
They are soo easy to make, as well. If you know how to make ribbons out of cucumbers and carrots, it takes like 5 minutes.You can even leave out the carrots. I think these bites are the best with juice cherry tomatoes ( sprinkled with sea salt…ugh, so much yum.)
So let’s get into the details.
I started off by slicing the baguettes. After that, I spread some herby vegan cream cheese on them. The result can be seen above.
(Let me grab this opportunity to express my unconditional and undying love for herby creme cheese on baguette. It’s real, you guys.)
After I was done with that, I chopped the veggies and made the ribbons. (See the steps on the image above.)
To create the cucumber “leafs”, peel the cucumber and then cut the thin slices in half. Take a slice and fold it in the middle (there should be some overlapping). There you go! Now all that’s left is to place it on the baguette and pierce it with a toothpick.
Next stop is, slice the scallion stems. That should provide the stem of the flower. Pierce it through with the toothpick.
Lastly, half the cherry tomatos and check if they fit on the toothpick. If they are too big and there is no place left to pick up the bite, cut a little bit off their bottom (I did the same thing).
Now, sprinkle on some salt and pepper and you’re done!

Vegan Flower Appetizers with Herb "Cream Cheese"
- 2 small baguettes sliced
- 4 tbsp herb cream cheese vegan
- 1 medium cucumber thinly sliced
- 2 stem scallions sliced
- 3 cherry tomatoes halved
- 2 radish bulbs quartered
- 1/2 small carrot thinly sliced or "ribboned"
- 2 pinch salt
- 2 pinch black pepper ground
- Start by spreading the cream cheese on the baguette slices. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cucumber ribbons as the leaf of the flower.
- Then, add the scallion bits vertically, through the tooth pick as the stem of the flower.
- Place the tomatoes, radishes and carrots on top of the pick.
- Finally, sprinkle some more salt and pepper on the bites and serve.
