Lime Mint Smoothie

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

The tartness of the lime and the refreshing power of the mint is just perfect to quench your thirst in the Summer heat. And you can make this smoothie completely sugar-free.

If you choose a super ripe banana you can just leave out the 1-2 tsp maple syrup completely.

I recommend blending the ingredients for a longer time than you would normally do. I only blended it for like 20 seconds and there were a few big mint leaf pieces and lime chunks in it! (They don’t blend easily.) It was still delicious though.

Ingredients

  • ripe bananas
  • oat milk
  • whole limes
  • lime’s juice
  • mint leaves
  • maple syrup
  • ice cubes

(If you are really going for that tart taste, you can put some lime zest into the smoothie as well.)

How to Make

STEP 1:
Add all ingredients to a blender.

  1. I have a question and I think it may make everyone slap their foreheads. You state whole limes… including skin? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m new to making healthy smoothies.

    1. Hey Nikki,

It’s not a silly question at all. 🙂
The skin of the lime should be peeled off, so only use the “flesh”.
I hope you’ll like the smoothie!
